Artfire Collections and Etsy Treasuries!

April 20, 2011 06:39 by ehouston

We are back from a much needed long weekend and visit with great friends and family.  Gosh we miss Nashville, TN!  Oh well.  But, on a very bright note, a couple of my shop items were featured at both Etsy and Artfire recently.

This collection at Artfire.com was curated by Four Corners USA and it’s called, Made In America, Virginia!

Lovely.  Included here, are my Changing Pads with Pouch in reproduction vintage fabrics.

Over at Etsy, my funky neon Beach Ball was added to another funny treasury.

This one was curated by Lavinia’s Room and encourages all of us moms to get out of the kitchen and have a good time!

So, come on.  Get out there and add some comments or click on through and order something nice for yourself.

Shop Updates–Relisting and Vintage Fabric Items

January 21, 2011 06:34 by ehouston

Over the last week I have been changing some things around in a couple of my shops.  I had been reserving my Artfire.com shop for mostly vintage items with the occasional handmade piece and I was trying to keep all my handmade items in my Etsy.com shop.  I realized that over the course of the last year I had mixed things all up, so I decided to switch postings from one store to another.  I’m not sure that this will even matter, but I thought it was worth a try.  At one time I had listed doubles of some vintage Valentine’s Day cards in each shop and the Etsy.com postings sold very quickly.  I feel a little lost lately regarding what sells best at each location.  Has anyone else experimented this way before?  If you do have several different online entities do you find that the same customers check out each shop, or just stick with one or the other?  I don’t mind having more than one online store and I love that Artfire.com does not charge listing and selling fees.  I just don’t think I am ready to give up on either one quite yet.  Oh yeah, and here are a couple of new postings.  These are actually handmade items rather than the vintage fare that you have been seeing in more recent posts.

Artfire Collection–Classic Christmas

November 11, 2010 07:40 by ehouston

One of my vintage wooden ornaments from Germany was recently featured in a Classic Christmas collection on Artfire.  Yeah!  My little Postman ornament is sharing the stage with some other really great retro themed Christmas items.  Please head over to Artfire.com to rate and comment on the collection.

Of course I give it 5 stars!  ;o)
